Introduction:

The Avionics Technician program is a 1200-hour program designed to prepare individuals for employment as avionics, electrical, and electronic technicians. Students may enroll on a part-time or full-time basis. The content area includes a combination of electronics and avionics theory and practical applications necessary for successful employment. The tuition cost for the program is approximately $5,600 (out of state tuition cost is approximately $18,000). Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Employment Outlook:

Overall employment of aircraft and avionics equipment mechanics and technicians is projected to grow 5% from 2016 to 2026.

Salary:

The average wage for this career in Florida is $28.32 hourly or $58,910 annually.

Completion Requirements:

The entire program is 1200 hours. Certain Adult Education Centers do not offer all components of the program.  Full completion of the program may be completed at a Technical College. Students can earn a certificate at the completion of the following Occupational Completion Points (OCPs):
