Phlebotomy Aide Course - Phlebotomy Aide

Introduction:

The Phlebotomy Aide program prepares individuals, under the supervision of healthcare professionals, to draw blood samples from patients using a variety of procedures. Phlebotomy Aide draw blood for tests, transfusions, research, or blood donations. Some explain their work to patients and provide assistance when patients have questions/concerns after their blood is drawn.

The average wage for this career in Florida is $14.97 hourly and $31,140 annually.

Completion Requirements:

The entire program is 165 hours. Certain Adult Education Centers do not offer all components of the program.  Full completion of the program may be completed at a Technical College. Students can earn a certificate at the completion of the following Occupational Completion Points (OCPs):
