Introduction:
Commercial artists use a variety of computer software and design skills to create art that meets a visual needs. Commercial artists are responsible for the layout and design of magazines, newspapers, journals and other publications. Commercial artists enjoy creating graphics for television, social, digital and other computer-generated media.

Commercial artist’s work as in-house designers, staff designers, or freelance designers. Career opportunities in the record industry, film and animation studios, computer software companies, and web design companies exist.

Completion Requirements:
This entire program is 1500 hours. Certain Adult Education Centers do not offer all components of the program. Full completion of the program may be completed at a Technical College. Students can earn a certificate at the completion of the following Occupational Completion Points (OCPs):
